This game was so good and very educational, weirdly enough I actually really enjoyed learning about the history brought up in the game, I even felt a little dissapointed when I completed it. Please keep making games like this!! <3

I know this was a good game, because I was disappointed when it was over. That was surprisingly interesting, and I had a lot of fun learning about a subject I'd never really thought much about

Enjoyed. Thank you.

so awesome. i love informative games like this one. now i know more things about poland! incredible this can just be played in a web browser for free. hope you get big things in your future! you absolutely deserve it.

very entertaining

FUN, Just finished Normal Mode

I LIKED IT SO MUCH I FINISHED THE EASY MODE IN AN HOUR

I FINISHED NORMAL MODE

It is the first time I'm leavin a comment in years on a game on itch.io and I didn't even discovered the game on this platform, but I spent a whole night 'til morning to finish the game. It was really addictive and interesting, I had a lot of fun ! Thanks for this game, I had a wonderful time !

Any chance the source code is open, because it is a public project? I could think of making a (further improved) clone of that game, not with water, but with democracy. What do you think?

This was so much fun, it completely pulled me in for an hour or so!

I really like how the entire interface is presented at the start of the game, and that not too much is added after that. Instead, the mechanics introduced at the start are fully explored, which makes the whole playthrough very intuitive.

One of the best free games I've played thus far.

This is a very pretty, high quality game. So much attention to detail. I wonder if it could be made into a physical board/card game.

Oooooh ! I love the idea ! It would be amazing ! I'd definitely play it

oh shit Scriptwelder! i remember playing your games on Newgrounds ages ago. So cool to see you still making things. i remember your first historical/educational game was one about archeology, awesome to see you're still making them. Can't wait to see your other stuff here on Itchio!

OK, this is one of the best games I've ever played on Itch. It's fun, it's satisfying, it has awesome polish (no pun intended), and it taught me a bit of history to boot! Outstanding work.

How about making a downloadable version so i could play offline.

124 turns on Easy. This game was nice and addicting to play, maybe adjust the font for the history dialog box so it's easier to read.

this is a really tight and fascinating strategy game! I like how much it rewards paying attention to details and keeping an open mind for options to pursue. for instance, I just barely won the game on impossible on turn 208 by selling back all my water wagons and water carts. phew!

Can I find the explanation of how the system of selling cards for coins works? I am in the middle of the game, not sure I can play the tutorial again, I forgot how it works exactly and I am not sure how I can actually get money from this system. I searched but I could not find any help online.

Great game, Well done on managing to make unconsidered history into such an enjoyable game experience

What a game!

Made it to the VERY end on impossible mode, had the Modern Sewer Card filled in, ready to finish... and the town sunk right before I stored up the 150/50 needed to finish it off....

Failed on Day 213

128 days my first time. This game is very educational. Thank you.

Just beat the game on normal difficulty with 150 turns! This is my very first time playing. This game is ADDICTIVE... I couldn't take my eyes off the screen until I finished the round. Wow. It's also really nice learning more about the history of water supply (in Europe) along the way. 10/10

Update: I did it in 127 turns! OMG AWAA

I genuinely enjoyed this game. The way the town changes over time is a really nice detail. I also loved the way the history of this town was told and the reminder at the end of how we take watter as granted nowadays even though not long ago it was a big worry for people. All in all it's a really nice game and its clear how much time and love was put into it:))

I really enjoyed the game, and the history lesson just as much. Had me read more about the city of Grudziadz and its past.

hi so just a quick question, so i was a little confused because my villagers act like they have "no water" but they have a whole river outside there houses... so they were acting like ungrateful brats for no reason? just a little confused please help me understand.

(+1)(-8)

EXACTLY THESE LITTLE BRATS R SOOOOO SPOILED, IF THEYRE SO THIRSTY, EITHER THEY CAN MOVE OUTTA MY TOWN, OR JUST WALK TO THE LAKE THATS RIGHT IN UR FACE

are you going to make a download of the game?

good game but I can't beat it😭

(+1)

Hey! I've been trying to complete the game as fast as possible and haven't found any records anywhere, has anyone been able to complete the game in less than 86 turns? (if you want any strats, i'd be happy to talk about how to optimize turns)

(+1)

And just for the main strats, I delayed buying anything that helped with water supply (my first water upgrade was stables 1, then the carts before getting the waterwork) and using save manipulation to be able to replay the same turn and reset the rng if I don't get the cards that I want immediately (and avoid having to discard workers and the like)

(+1)

Nicely done!

Someone since then has written a script to help with satisfaction, and won the game in 81 turns with it!

Damn! That seems interesting
